Release notes

Overview & Control is developed iteratively. Based on new Microsoft roll-outs, market requirements and customer needs, we develop and deploy new features and functions each week/month. Click here if you want to see release notes for previous years.

March 2023

  • Overview & Control End users, Owners and Approvers
    • Added shared channels functionality to teams details page that includes showing host and incoming shared channels, creating shared channels and removing incoming shared channels.
    • Added number of shared channels to teams quick details in Overview.
  • Overview & Control Admins
    • Added shared channel option to template designer channel settings.
    • New consents that will enable shared channels and notifications (coming soon) functionalities.
    • Added Site structure section to template designer SharePoint settings. Section contains default Documents library and allows to add lists and libraries with custom and standard columns and folders (in case libraries).
    • Deployed separate functions app that contains service bus trigger functions. Currently the only active function is SharePoint site customization job that is triggered 30 minutes after team/group/site creation to perform SharePoint site customization based on SharePoint settings defined in corresponding template.

    • Add folders to private channels during private channel creation via team details page.
    • Several new tabs added to channel tabs page in team details page. Tabs that were added are: Document Library, Lists, Stream, Whiteboard, SharePoint Pages, YouTube and Workplace from Facebook.
    • Tiles view added to overview page that allows to view groups, teams and sites in form of tiles.

  • Overview & Control Admins

    • Add folders to private channels in team templates.
    • Several new tabs added to channel tabs page in team templates. Tabs that were added are: Document Library, Lists, Stream, Whiteboard, SharePoint Pages, YouTube and Workplace from Facebook.
    • Some refactoring saving request during provisioning flow run.
    • Hour glass icon and limit to open request when provisioning is pending.
    • Fixed overview settings alignments

    • Minor fixes in add team to group function.
    • Improved design and performance of new request page functionality.
    • Implemented solution for individual branding of Overview & Control that is available for premium customers. Solution includes possibility to customize application colors, icon and name.

  • Overview & Control Admins

    • Added "Manager as approver" option to template designer Approval settings. This option allows to send requests to requestors manager for approval.
